Every thriving university has defining moments — milestones that set the tone for its future. For Westland University, Iwo, this is one of those moments.

Nestled in the serene surroundings of Adenike Ajose Estate along the Iwo–Ejigbo Road in Osun State, Westland University has grown into one of the region’s most promising centers of learning. With a sprawling 800-hectare campus and modern facilities under construction — including a 200-room ultra-modern hostel complex — the University is proving that it is ready to meet the demands of today’s learners.

Now, with the appointment of Professor Abimbola Adebisi Baale as Vice-Chancellor and Mr. Olaosebikan Sunday Olalekan as Registrar, Westland takes another bold step in its mission to deliver world-class education, research, and innovation that transform lives.

Professor Baale, a distinguished Computer Science scholar and Fellow of the Nigerian Computer Society, brings visionary leadership and deep academic expertise to guide Westland into its next phase of growth.
Mr. Olaosebikan, an experienced university administrator and Fellow of the Association of Registrars of Nigerian Universities (ARNU), will strengthen the school’s governance and operations — ensuring that students receive the best possible experience from admission to graduation.

The formal announcement of their appointments was witnessed by members of the University Consult, men of God, and staff across all levels. The atmosphere was charged with pride and optimism — a collective affirmation that Westland is not just building structures, but building a legacy.

As Westland University ushers in this new chapter, its doors are open wider than ever. Admissions are ongoing, inviting parents and prospective students to join a community that believes in academic excellence, innovation, and character development — right here in Iwo, at the heart of Osun State.

The Westland University community proudly welcomes its new leadership, confident that the future is bright and full of promise.
