Our Story

The long history of Westland University began Sometime in 1984, when the Proprietor of Westland University, Dr Engr. Wole Adepoju, a structural Engineer graduate at MIT Massachusetts established the Cedarspring Technical Institute, as part of his contribution to the development and growth of technological education in Nigeria. The establishment of the institute was also a demonstration of Dr Engr. Adepoju’s commitment to assisting the numerous struggling youths to achieve their lofty aims of developing themselves and the country in technological advancement and innovations.

Cedarspring Technical Institute started as a purely vocational institute for preparing candidates for West African School Certificate and the City and Guilds of London Examinations. In 1993, Engineer Adepoju established the Wolex Computer Academy, a Computer Training School located at Baruwa, Ipaja Road, Lagos. This gave birth to Wolex Polytechnic which was
