We are Leaders in Technical and Entrepreneurial Education

We are proud to be Westland University, and we are excited to see what the future holds for our students and our institution.

Our management staff, led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Akinyemi Balogun, are well on ground coordinating the operations of the University and supervised by the Governing Council headed by Prof Babatunde Adeleke, two-time Vice Chancellor of Adeleke University, Ogbomosho.

The long history of Westland University began in 1984, when the Proprietor of Westland University, Dr Engr. Wole Adepoju, a structural engineering graduate from MIT Massachusetts, established the Cedarspring Technical Institute as part of his contribution to the development and growth of technological education in Nigeria. The institute was also a demonstration of Dr Engr. Adepoju’s commitment to assisting the numerous struggling youths to achieve their lofty aims of developing themselves and the country in technological advancement and innovations.

The University Council has brought together experts with cognitive experiences to drive an entrepreneurial university poised to produce self-sufficient individuals with character and proficiency in solving societal problems.
